NOTE: There are two paintings by the same name and very similar to one another. One is considerably larger than the other but both have been linked to Leonardo mainly due to historical records that exist. This page is dedicated to the smaller version of the painting.

AUTHENTICATION: There is some debate from Art historians if this is actually an authentic Leonardo piece or if it is a work of his colleague from Verrocchios' workshop, Lorenzo di Credi. This smaller version is believed more likely to be Leonardo’s work than the larger version.
