PRESENT LOCATION:

The Hermitage Museum, Saint Petersburg, Russia.

 






INFORMATION:

Da Vinci’s notebook shows a drawing (below) that includes the Jesus child playing with a cat. Leonardo may have planned to draw and paint this picture. The drawing is closely connected to the Benois Madonna.

AUTHENTICATION:

There is some dispute in the Art world if this is truly a Leonardo original.
